I have been an artist since childhood. Art was never simply a hobby for me; it was the space where I felt most like myself. I sketched when I was happy, created when I was upset, and turned to art whenever I needed comfort, expression or peace. Creating was a part of my childhood that I never truly wanted to let go of.

But growing up in a conservative environment, becoming an artist was never considered a conventional or secure path. I was often made to believe that art was a choice meant for those who could afford to pursue it, not something that could become a meaningful career or build a life of its own. Eventually, I chose BBA and stepped onto a more conventional path. For a while, I believed that perhaps my dream of becoming an artist had ended there.

In 2026, after launching my first book and beginning my journey as an author, I found a new confidence in my creative identity. Being recognised for my work gave me the courage to reconnect with the artist I had always been. And that is where Kira Decore was born.

Kira Decore is my way of giving that childhood dream a life of its own.

It is where my creativity has found a physical space to breathe, where ideas become tangible, and where years of imagination, persistence and love for art come together. Every piece I create carries a small part of the journey that brought me here—the years of uncertainty, the struggles, the resistance, the moments of doubt, and the decision to keep creating anyway.

For me, Kira Decore is not simply a place where handmade décor is created. It is a dream I am finally living.
